The mom, who hasn't been identified, said that when her little one is sick, she rests her vibrator on his back to make her feel better.

She shared her secret with the Facebook group Melons and Cuties, where it's leaving thousands of people in stitches.

Melons and Cuties offers birth, breastfeeding, and wellness education — but its latest tip is certainly a unique one.

In a post shared on January 8, which has been shared thousands of times, they explain that one user sent them a picture to illustrate her remedy for chest congestion.

When her baby is experiencing the symptom, she sits with her in a steamy bathroom and places her vibrator on his back.

While using a sex toy to make a baby feel better is a bit eyebrow-raising, the technique actually makes sense.

According to the Facebook post, 'many hospitals and respiratory therapists use these in the treatment of respiratory issues on the back in hospital settings.'

Steam and applying vibrations to the chest area can both help loosen mucus, which can help a baby (or grown adult) breathe easier.

The University of Michigan recommends a similar technique to help a child with cystic fibrosis, though they suggest vibrating the child manually.

Still, the vibrator trick in particular had come Facebook commenters quite amused.

'I just bought three! Don’t let the fact that I don’t have any kids make this weird,' wrote one woman.

'And here I am using Sudafed when I could be getting toe-curling congestion relief. Obviously not living my best life, y’all,' joked another.

'Funny, it usually takes my breath when I use it,' quipped a third.

And a fourth: 'And here the whole time I've been using my vibrator on my vagina, today is the first day of my new life.'
